Challenge

A leading logistics client of ours needed to reengineer warehouse operations in order to optimize the procurement process of procurement, distribution and products return with the goal of:

  • Reduce the product stock in warehouses;
  • Facilitate the operational management of movements between warehouses;
  • Speed up the process of delivering goods to the end customer.

Our solution

After conducting a detailed analysis of the product delivery and return process, a management system was developed to centralize procurement and shipping requests among all the company's warehouses.

The analysis phase involved several business units and resulted in the functional and technical specifications that enabled the IncresoInnovation Hub to implement the application solution, in just six weeks.

A short testing period followed the release of the solution, moreover a training program was carried out for key users to ensure proper adoption and maximize the benefits of the introduced innovation.

The implemented solution enabled the client company's key users to:

  • Stock and product movement of all warehouses for a specific customer viewed in real time and on a single dashboard
  • Trasfering goods between warehouses in just few clicks, in order to reduce delivery time;
  • Produce detailed reporting to gain visibility of product inventories at warehouses.
